I'm raising it for Redcliffe Hospital Research
Research and bike riding are two of my passions – ‘research’ because it gives us a blueprint to deliver the best in healthcare; and ‘riding’ for fun, fitness and adventure!
Earlier this year, my wife and I cycled over 2500 km from Cairns to Redcliffe to help raise funds for a new research position at Redcliffe Hospital.
This collaborative initiative, which requires $60,000 in funding, will enable an experienced researcher to be based at Redcliffe Hospital for 3 years to lead, conduct and support world-class research.
While the Big Ride is over with $10,000+ raised for this Redcliffe Hospital-university nursing and midwifery ‘professorial’ researcher position, we are still chasing a funding target of $50,000 to make this happen.
In the lead up to the Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day (13 October 2021), I pledge to ride my Penny Farthing 500 km, 50 times around Redcliffe Hospital and 5 times across the Ted Smout Memorial Bridge. I pledge $5000 or $10 for every km I ride.
I would love it if you would join ‘the ride’ to raise funds for research at Redcliffe Hospital. To contribute, simply click the Donate button.
THANK YOU for Giving to Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital.
